Although 'Brotherhood" produced "Bizarre Love Triangle," New Order's biggest dance hit in the US, the album was not a huge sales success. "True Faith," co-produced with Pet Shop Boys producer Stephen Hague, was released in 1987. This was New Order's most popular single since "The Perfect Kiss," and became their highest charting single in England and the US. "True Faith" became part of a singles compilation called "Substance," also released in 1987. Most of New Order's B-sides were also included in the CD release of the album.
